Help Needed! My First Build: $1500 Budget

Hey guys, I'm a new member of this forum but i've been lerking around for awhile now. I'm going to build my first pc and i'm looking for help. I have been stuck using MSi gaming laptop for years because I had to travel all the time. But now that I'm home, I feel like I'm ready to build my own pc. I have a $1500 USD budget and I'll be using the pc mostly for gaming while my brother will be using it for some light video editing. Example of the games that I would be playing are The Witcher Series, Total War Series, CoD, Watch Dogs, Thief, etc. If it is possible I would like my build to be a blue/black(/maybe with some yellow) theme. This price does not include a speaker, keyboard, or anything like that. I only want the components inside the chasis and a monitor.

Here's all that i have come up with so far:

Intel i5-4670k

Intel SSD 730 240GB

WD Black 1TB

{?Brand} GTX 770 OC [is it an overkill for the games that I listed?]

Avexir Core Series 1600 8GB Blue

Prolimatech Megahalems Rev.B Blue with Gentle Typhoon Case Fans

{?Brand} Z97 Mid-Level Mainboard

Bitfenix Ronin

Seasonic Platinum 860W

Viewsonic Monitor?

Did I missed anything?

Please help with my build, any suggestions are welcome. I really don't know which brand or which model are the best bang for the bucks.

Thanks guys

PS. English is not my first language so please excuse any mistake. Also, I live in Thailand and some components might not be available in my country, so alternative parts are appreciated.

I would drop the intel SSD for a samsung 840 evo, and you do not need 860 watts so get a cheaper power supply

and spend the extra money on getting  GTX 780

Here is what I put together for you. I upgraded your CPU to a 4770k, which will come in handy in both gaming and editing.

Some of your suggestions, like the memory and case fans, haven't rated well, so I went with Bitfenix case fans and A-DATA memory. I also downgraded your PSU to 750W but its more than enough to handle you & your brother's needs plus its sufficient enough to handle SLI if you want to add a second GTX 770 later.

I checked with my vendor and everything is available except the monitor. The only alternative from Viewsonic that I can find is the "ViewSonic VX2252mh 22 inch". Do you think I should switch brand?

Switching brands is totally up to you, but it will give you more variety if you do.

Erh... if you are in Thai it going to be a problem. The price of hardware in Thai is ridiculously high. I live in Thai too and my Rig which cost about ~2000$ USD in total goes up to ~ 2500$+ in THB, so keep that in mind.
