Better designed chipset heatsinks so they don't require a chipset fan. It's the same piece of silicon.

Still wouldn't recommend that upgrade though. AM4 only makes sense to buy right now if you're getting a low end motherboard or keeping your current board, the moment you start spending $300+ on a board like you will with most of the currently available X570 boards you might as well just go AM5 or LGA 1700 and get a significantly faster CPU for around the same overall platform price.

So I recently want to upgrade my 3600x and b450 to a 5600x and a x570motherboard. haven't been keeping up to date on all the hardware recently, what is the difference between a x570s and a x570? I have never herd of the S version haha

X570 Non S have a small chipset fan that make an annoying buzzzz, S are "silent"/passive cooling

But X570 is more expensive than B550 for not much, unless you "need" 2 or 3 Gen4 drives...

AMD R9  7950X3D CPU/ Asus ROG STRIX X670E-E board/ 2x32GB G-Skill Trident Z Neo 6000CL30 RAM ASUS TUF Gaming AMD Radeon RX 7900 XTX OC Edition GPU/ Phanteks P600S case /  Arctic Liquid Freezer III 360 ARGB cooler/  2TB WD SN850 NVme + 2TB Crucial T500  NVme  + 4TB Toshiba X300 HDD / Corsair RM850x PSU/ Alienware AW3420DW 34" 120Hz 3440x1440p monitor / ASUS ROG AZOTH keyboard/ Logitech G PRO X Superlight mouse / Audeze Maxwell headphones

So AM5 R5 7600 is what im looking at right now. do you suggest a motherboard? not really trying to spend over 300 on the motherboard and also ill have to uprgrade RAM which i dont want to do. And i feel the backwards compatible motherboards with ddr4 and ddr5 are not all too good at the moment. so idk might just stick with the original plan.

Or not.

Been using an X570 board for years, the chipset fan has never been audible. I don't even know if it ever spins. Maybe on boot up.

Corps aren't your friends. "Bottleneck calculators" are BS. Only suckers buy based on brand. It's your PC, do what makes you happy.  If your build meets your needs, you don't need anyone else to "rate" it for you. And talking about being part of a "master race" is cringe. Watch this space for further truths people need to hear.

B650 Aorus Elite is generally one of the better bang for the buck motherboards out there, good feature set for only about $200.

Fair, though given how much DDR5 has dropped in price you still will likely come out spending about the same amount of money by going for the AM5 system instead.

Besides, the other option is to just do a drop in CPU replacement for the B450 board you already have, they should all have BIOSes available at this point for Ryzen 5000, so it's just a matter of doing the BIOS update and throwing the new CPU in your current board. That's the actual best option.

Ill keep all this in mind and sit on it for a couple days, look at prices and all that. thank you though for your help much appreciated 🙂

Mine does (X570 Aorus Pro) by default, managed to lower rpm with FanControl so it's not audible anymore

Yup for m2 X570 chipset lanes are all Gen4, on B550 they're Gen3 iirc
