PC not booting. Please help.

Go to solution Solved by NorKris,

this is what i would do:

MB on non concuctive surface

connect PSU to the MB, nothing else

try to turn it on

like this just with the CPU in ofc

image.png.0eeb67a02ee516c2d7d94d07a77d2297.png

I built a PC this morning. Parts are:

Ryzen 9 7900x
Asus Strix X670e-a gaming wifi
2 x 16GB DDR5 @ 5200MHZ
700W PSU (Not my build so I don't know the exact model but I can confirm that it does work as it worked fine in the system it was powering before.)
Corsair H100i 240mm
WD SN850x 1TB
GTX 1050 ti.

I'm sure i've connected everything. The motherboard lights turn on when I switch on the PSU but it doesn't actually turn on. I just get nothing. No Mobo LEDs, no fans.

Going to take the mobo out of the case and test later.

But what else could I try?

System

CPU: Ryzen 5 3600

Case: Phanteks eclipse P400A

Motherboard: MSI B550 Gaming Carbon WiFi

GPU: MSI RTX 3060 TI Gaming X Trio

RAM: 16GB XPG D60G CL16 3200MHZ

PSU: Sharkoon SilentStorm Cool Zero 650W

Storage: Crucial P2 1TB

Did you correctly connect the case's power button?  Try jumping the power with a screwdriver on the motherboard.

What psu? If you cant identify then take a picture of its wattage table

Hook the board to a psu and put in only the cpu, yes put the cooler on incase it starts

If it doesnt start wiggle the 24 pin cause sometimes that likes to be sensitive and make the board not turn on in certain positions i guess? Idk what word to describe that properly

If it still doesnt start just rma and get a replacement
