Docking station: USB C vs thunderbolt 3

Hello, my job gave me 2 docking stations for my laptop at home, both supported by my laptop. They are the HP elite thunderbolt 3 dock and the HP usb-c dock g3. They have virtually the same connections, just VGA on the thunderbolt, that I don't need. 

Which one would you use?

The Thunderbolt one, assuming you have a Thunderbolt enabled Type-C port on the laptop.

yes, I have. They are both fully compatible

One uses thunderbolt the other uses usb c + displayport passthrough.

 

Choose whichever you like
