what is the ideal desk size for a 2-3 monitor setup,

ive had my eyes on the ikea bekant dest as someone is selling one in my area for around $60*

i currently have an ikea micke desk** and its served me well but the depth has started to become a only problem as the space on my desk is beginning to become very limited.

would upgrading for only 10cm of depth really worth it or make any difference? if not, is there any desks with depth larger than the micke's 142x50x75 measurements?

would love some feedback

Depending on how you have the monitors positioned, putting them on arms or elevating the stands on a small shelf can make a big difference.

ahhh, ive never really used one before so its probably worth a try, my arms are fairly long and i couldnt really position myself comfortably on my current desk so ill check and see if i can get my hands on one 🙂

It's also going to depend on other things, such as if you play on a low sense or DPI. I finally got around to building a desk this last fall. It's not pretty but it fit exactly what I wanted. In the future I'll probably just stick to making desks. Cheaper too if you've already got tools on hand.

Worked great for me since it gave me that "U" shape to separate work from play and also fit nicely around the part of my partner's desk that sticks out into the room.

I'm not actually trying to be as grumpy as it seems.

I will find your mentions of Ikea or Gnome and I will /s post.

If you're even moderately handy or know someone who is I'd highly suggest trying to build your own desk at some point. The legs all come off in modular sections. The sides screw onto the legs and into the middle section and then there's braces farther down that are meant for cable management that I've been too lazy to set up.

If you go out and spend a lot on the desk you're more likely to get annoyed when it gets messed up. When mine gets messed up I just sand that section and re finish it real quick.
