So I have used blue Iris for a few years now without issue until this summer..... the two issues I have appear to be rare enough that I haven't found others with them. When I first got the software support was great and had a good response rate and solved problems easily.... I hadn't had to contact them for a while and now it appears the support line is dead. First email failed and second one had no responses 😕, they still do alot of updates but without decent support It's not that great.

So now that we have that out of the way I am curious what the good softwares are now? I'm sure there are new and probably better softwares since I started with blue iris. So I am looking for recommendations as to a new software for my security cameras 😀

It depends a lot on what you do.  I’ve never even heard of blue iris before.   Even looking it up I’m still not sure what it does.  There’s a page on alternatives though that lists “trackforce vallient” and “falconry” as alternatives.   I’ve never heard of them either though

Not a pro, not even very good.  I’m just old and have time currently.  Assuming I know a lot about computers can be a mistake.

Life is like a bowl of chocolates: there are all these little crinkly paper cups everywhere.

Blue iris records, does seprate motion recording, now does face tracking and license plate ID if you want it. I basically just want recording and the separate motion detection
