Should I fully power off PSU on vacation?

HungryHamster

I'm going to be leaving on vacation for a week and I'm wondering if I should just turn my PC off like normal or if I should flip the power switch on the PSU to completely shut down power to the mobo, etc.

What do you guys do?

I always do.

Corps aren't your friends. "Bottleneck calculators" are BS. Only suckers buy based on brand. It's your PC, do what makes you happy.  If your build meets your needs, you don't need anyone else to "rate" it for you. And talking about being part of a "master race" is cringe. Watch this space for further truths people need to hear.

I unplug everything except the fridge ?

Well at least the PC/computer/internet/router stuff.

I'd leave the fridge on, unless you like new and exciting smells

I dont need t go on vacation just a simple weekend away.

I have so many modern day electrical items plugged into sockets and as stated just the fridge is the only item I leave the plug in the socket.

I see no reason to ever take risk. I am 65 in April and whilst things might have been improved since my childhood I still remember the devastation of a lighting stike on a home

back in the 60's... funny thing is it actually hit a tree in their back garden not the house itself but oh boy.......was not good.

39 on April 12. Happy Happy Early Birthday.

I am sorry about the lightning strike.

As radium_angel, unplug those devices but the refrigerator.
