There are two versions of 14.4 according to this link http://support.amd.com/en-us/download/desktop?os=Windows%208.1%20-%2064

Maybe try the other one and see if the problem is resolved. If the problem persists then revert to a previous version that worked.

No, the second one is the latest beta that was released earlier, several people including me have video acceleration BSOD coming from atikmdag.

The post does not give details on what the problem actually is. For all I know the problem could be related to installing the driver.

The two drivers in the link are the same driver, however one has the component that was causing installation problems removed from the installation package.

Works perfectly for me (on Z77 chipset)!

A friend of mine has an AMD chipset and he had to do a recovery after installing, so......yeah good job on supporting your own hardware AMD. ;-)

AMD drivers are buggy as shit, on Windows 8 you can't use skype and you can't watch Netflix cos the drivers are so buggy.

This is why is still have Windows 7.

Mine seems to be working fine, not had any problems.

Windows 8.1, latest beta drivers, and Skype works fine for me so far.

Only problem I'm having is the mouse getting stuck moving between monitors, but that's the windows update as far as I can tell.

Yeah I had BSOD in windows 7 from atikmdag, reverted to 13.12.

Same here, upon windows loading and getting to the login and then BAM, Garbled artifacted frozen crap all over the screen, restart and same thing... Exactly the same garbled pattern too...

Reverted to 13.12, fine and dandy.

Before I was on 14.4 I had on 14.2 and they were fine, but I knew 13.12 worked fine and I already had the installer so I went with those, and its been fine since.

Maximums - Asus Z97-K /w i5 4690 Bclk @106.9Mhz * x39 = 4.17Ghz, 8GB of 2600Mhz DDR3,.. Gigabyte GTX970 G1-Gaming @ 1550Mhz
