OCing my card literally decreased performance?

Hi,

 

I have Sapphire Toxic 6900xt, overclocking it which increased clock speed to 2.7ghz with low temps of 60c saw a decrease in performance in 3dmark and games benchmark vs stock settings?! how can this be? undervolting the card saw an increase in performance as well!!!

 

am i missing something!

AFAIK, the Sapphire Toxic card will boost above 2.7 to about 2.73 2.75 by default. You actually down clocked the card. As for Undervolting on AMD, that is difficult as the card will vary voltages constantly. I'd keep it stock unless you experience major problems of some sort, relating to stability, thermals or something else.
