I'm on Version 29.0, which currently is the latest version.

My fault on my wording of the response of my last post. The developer may need to patch or release a new update to their software.

I think you should contact them so that they can assist you quicker and patch their software.

System Specs:

- Ryzen 7 7700X

- 32 GB G.Skill Flare X5 DDR5 C36 RAM @ 6000 MT/s

- Zotac RTX 4070 Ti

I have tried to toggle Windows settings (i.e. Hardware GPU Scheduling, Game Mode), update to latest graphics drivers, change OBS settings. I have looked on YouTube and Google and none of the solutions have helped.

change OBS settings

what settings did you change?

Is the stuttering happening in the recording/stream (as in the result of the stream), or does the PC stutter during the recording.

Have you tried lowering the bitrate on recording until you get a stable result?

Are you streaming and recording at the same time?

have you checked your CPU and GPU statistics during recording and compared to when you aren't recording?

have you changed your encoder presets to faster ones?

Have you ever been able to record/stream succusfully or has it always been stuttering.

ok... but with these settings it doesn't really surprise me... some seem just wrong, others a bit too optimistic...

Neither will google be ok with 30k at 1080p... they'll expect 18 or 16 or something and neither is OBS good enough to record at 30k - especially not in case you also stream at the same time... not with these settings.

Try like like 18k bitrate for starters.

Edit: ok you stream to Twitch? I only use YouTube,  then use 6000 i guess, rest still applies,  OBS is really finicky with settings and the presets don't work well in my experience (btw i stream at 24k VBR/1440p, its usually ok, but sometimes it just bugs out for no apparent reason,  restarting OBS usually fixes it)

--> Don't use preset, use advanced settings,  profile high/performance.

Set it to 60fps integer, 16x sampling (even if you don't upscale)

make sure its set to 1080p native,  no upscaling.

and use Nvenc or h264 as codec (yeah you already are i know, just saying)

and tick on

look ahead *and* visual tuning (its mostly useless but makes OBS happy so just do it )

hope this helps?

btw, even when it doesn't sound like it, this is *still* better than whatever Shadowplay does... (its way more buggy too)

I've tried to change all of the encoder settings, but nothing changed at all.

The stuttering is in the footage itself. In-game framerate is not affected at all.

Every thing seems fine, except when I look at the video file which is a stuttery mess.

I'm only testing out recording.

I used to be able to stream and record when I had a Ryzen 7 5700X and an RTX 3060 Ti, but I don't think changing hardware should affect streaming/recording performance dramatically.

So far, lowering the bitrate to 18K has not helped.

I'm only testing out recording, since it's what I mostly use.

I'm only recording at 1080p 60 fps.

Toggling "Look Ahead" on didn't yield any better results.

I find this all weird because I used to use the settings I had in my initial post when I previously had a Ryzen 7 5700X and an RTX 3060 Ti. I doubt my current hardware could hinder video encoding.

yeah i dont think its a hardware issue either... something wrong with the profiles or install maybe.

Did you try to DDU your drivers ?

Made a new profile in OBS or reinstall OBS?

Also what kind of stutters do you experience while recording?  is it just random or all the time, etc?

I installed Streamlabs OBS and the same stuttering persists.

The stuttering is constant, it looks like it's playing back 3-4 FPS.

And this stuttering only happens in the video file itself. My gameplay experience is unaffected, even the preview video window inside OBS Studio or Streamlabs OBS is smooth.
