How to connect x5 3-pin fans into the 3 motherboard fan headers.

Hello there. Long time viewer, first time forum poster.

This is my first time ever building a PC, the only time I even opened a case was to remove an optical drive from one PC and install it in another.

Anyways, my question is: how do I connect x5 3-pin fans (3 included with the case and 2 arctic p12s) into the motherboard fan headers?

Since there are only three of them do I need some sort of splitter cables, or a fan hub perhaps?

I also want to have voltage control for the fans, but I read around that connecting 3 fans to a PWM hub would have them running at 100% all the time. (if that's true that is)

The motherboard in question is a

Gigabyte B550 AORUS ELITE AX V2

 and the case is a

Phanteks Eclipse P400A Digital.

Fans are the 3 included D-RGB fans that come with the case and 2 Arctic P12s (3-pin).

you actually have 5 fan headers on that board I believe, 2 of them are cpu and cpu optional so make use of that optional header as well so you then have 4 of the 5 connected, but yes get a fan splitter cable...I usually just end up wiring a couple of fans together not difficut google it watch a video etc.

I would probably get an rgb hub that supports pwm for your case's rgb fans and plug it into one of the headers and then plug the Arctic P12s into the other 2 headers.

I probably forgot about this comment so quote me if you need a response.

It looks like the 3x included DRGB fans are 3-pin fans, so no PWM control.

The Arctic P12s are also 3-pin....which I find weird Arctic would cut costs there.

You would want a fan hub OR 3-way / 2-way fan splitter(s).

There are 3-pin and 4-Pin versions of the P12s

Thank you for the help everyone!

It looks like a 3-way Y cable might be the best solution for me. I'm thinking I could plug in the 3 case fans into one header, and the 2 exhaust P12s into the other 2 headers. Maybe the fans that come with the case are daisy chainable, but just to be safe I'll get a Y cable regardless.
