Ryzen 7 5800X at max clock even when idle

My Ryzen 7 5800X is running at a constant 4.7GHz, and I have no clue why.

The CPU is in an Aorus B450 Elite V2, and I'm using the latest BIOS.

I'm currently using Task Manager and L-Connect 3 to monitor the clock speed.

I appreciate any help in advance!

My current build:

CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 5800X

Mobo: Gigabyte B450 Aorus Elite V2

GPU: XFX Radeon RX 6800 SWFT 319

RAM: Corsair Vengeance RGB PRO (4x8 3200MHz)

Storage: Patriot P300 128GB, XPG SPECTRIX S40G 1TB, WD HDD 1TB

Cooler: Corsair iCUE H150i RGB ELITE

PSU: Corsair RMx 750W 80 Plus Gold

Case: Corsair 4000D

 

Monitor: AOC Q27G2S

Keyboard: Corsair K95 RGB PLATINUM

Mouse: Roccat Burst Pro

Headphones: Roccat ELO 7.1 USB

Microphone: Roccat Torch

No software open? some programs force high performance mode

                          Ryzen 5800X3D(Because who doesn't like a phat stack of cache?) GPU - 7700Xt

 ~Extra L3 cache is exciting, every time you load up a new game or program you never know what your going to get, will it perform like a 5700x or are we beating the 14900k today? 😅~

Open Ryzen Master and check individual core clocks there. Task Manager is not accurate in low/minimal load conditions. It does not correctly account for each cores clockspeed in a way that's reflected in that number so unless you're in a full multicore load situation its not going to be accurate.

You could check to make sure it's not set to 100% in your Minimum processor state.

Ryzen Master shows only 2 cores at max clock speed. So I assume that means its actually fine and there is nothing to worry about?

Yeah, its the same 2 cores. The other 6 go up and down occasionally, but only by a slight bit.
