CPU cooler on a GPU

Go to solution Solved by aledsav1,

your temps are good, I wouldn't take the risk of using a cpu fan cooler of that size on the card, its doable but really a bit much, and then you would need to cool the vram as stated and the mosfets...if you are not experienced in modding cooling for cards other than a dedicated aftermarket cooler or water block I would not venture into it with your good temps.

I am not one to deter other from experimenting but it would be potentially easy to create issues with your card doing DIY cooling, even aftermarket coolers designed for user to apply have left many with faulty cards...many more with perfectly working, but is it worth the risk

I might use an artic freezer 34 to cool my Rx 6700 non xt. What are all the components I should cool on the gpu board? I think I'll have to cool the vram using heatsinks, please if there's a better way to cool it please tell me. Overall please let me know all the components I should cool and with what on my GPU since Itll be good to cool it from it's max temps of around 60-70 on max.

It won't fit, the brackets aren't compatible

Sure you can cobble it together with zipties or such but it will perform badly, a 6700 isn't very hot and temp should be managed with good airflow

60-70C is perfectly fine btw
