Hi guys, i just bought a 165hz gaming monitor and i think there is a problem with the refresh rate, i mean i can't see any difference between 165hz and 60hz, although people say you can so i'm asking can you realy see the diffrence and my monitor came back with a problem and i should replace it.

Did you set windows to run the monitor at 165hz in windows.

Its under advanced display settings if I recall correctly.

What GPU are you using to the display? are you using HDMI or Displayport?

TBH I can't *really* tell but it's vaguely smoother for me.
But if there's a problem with your monitor (not sure what you mean "came back") I'd recommend getting an RMA

The human eye can't really tell the difference at such a high refresh rate, the only way to check your Display settings and check if its on 165hz, some of these monitors can lower their refresh rate so check your graphics app settings if you have like Geforce Experience or Graphics Properties right click on desktop. Assuming you have windows.

You totally can 'see' the different but you'll have to know where to look. You are more likely to get a 'feel' from it, as high frame rate mean two things - better motion clarity and lower input lag. You'll only see the motion clarity advantage during fast animation (it's an imitation of a real world movement at the end of the day, our eyes don't see motion in frames, they were there to construct the image we can naturally see. With slow moving object where 60 is enough, the image will look the same be it 60 or 165 fps) but the lower input lag can be felt every where, like it became easier to move your cursor around.

For the most part if the Windows is telling you it's outputting 165hz then, 165hz it is.
