What Criteria to look for when hire IT for Hardware & Software solution for Small & Medium Business?

I'm specifically talking on 3 factor here:

1. Hardware:

a. Custom PC Desktop on site Office

b. Prebuilt PC Desktop on site office

c. Laptop

d. Tablet

 

2. Software:

a. Windows Autopilot for Laptop, Tablet and Desktop https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/mem/autopilot/windows-autopilot

b. iPad & iPhone https://support.apple.com/guide/deployment/welcome/web

c. Android Tablet & Phone. 

 

4. Apps level:

1. Train Non-IT staff for apps usage

2. Train Non-IT staff for personal trouble shooting

especially if it's the first internal IT hire you're doing... most important thing is that you hire someone with experience in doing what you need them to do

 

someone can be certified up their arse, if they have zero experience doing that stuff in the field, they cannott 'hold a company upright' on their own. 

 

if it's not the first IT hire in the company, your current head of IT will be the one best able to determine what sort of person you need to fill in the gaps.

Yup basically someone with 5 years+ experience. Preferably they show some certs they got over the years to show their will to learn.
