Is my cpu dead? If not what could be the problem?

Specs:

AsRock B450M-Pro4

Corisair RM650

Ryzen 7 3800X (Facebook Marketplace Find ~$100)

ID-Cooling-SE-214

Corisair TM30 Thermal Paste

SilverStone Fara H1M

Corsair iCue SP120 RGB

RTX 2060 6GB (Asus Dual Fan)

Corsiar Vengence (8GBx4)

I really haven’t done anything to troubleshoot besides take out the CMOS battery for 5 minutes and disconnect from all power.

Known working parts: Mobo (known working with Ryzen 5 2600), PSU, GPU, RAM

Before I put the CPU in I did check for bent pins which I did not find any.

EDIT: Problem Solved, the culprit was the ram not installed properly. Thanks everyone for the help!!

Is that a new CPU or did it work in the board before?

Your computer seems to be boot-looping. Usually boards have error LEDs on them that can be used to infer what is causing the error.

If you still have the 2600, can you test if the pc still boots with it?

Also, does your board have the latest BIOS installed with support for 3rd gen chips?

AMD Ryzen R7 1700 (3.8ghz) w/ NH-D14, EVGA RTX 2080 XC (stock), 4*4GB DDR4 3000MT/s RAM, Gigabyte AB350-Gaming-3 MB, CX750M PSU, 1.5TB SDD + 7TB HDD, Phanteks enthoo pro case

Yes, I do have the latest BIOS installed. At first I didn’t know what the issue was so I asked a friend and he said to try and undervolt it (which I haven’t done) but unfortunately I can’t put the 2600 in it because I have to go to school and then work right when I get back home. But I’ll keep this post updated as much as possible.

Does your board have the newest revision of it's bios installed (one that supports Ryzen 3000)? Are your bios settings at stock?
