First pc build help

Go to solution Solved by mariushm,

Considering what you want to use the game for, it would make much more sense to stick to socket AM4 and 5th gen Ryzen CPUs, cheaper DDR4 memory, and put the difference towards the video card and monitor.

Forget about future proof - you're still able to buy DDR3 memory, and you'll be able to buy DDR4 memory for years to come. You'll be able to buy a 5950x from eBay in a few years if you'll feel you'll need more cpu power.

Here's a potential build :  https://nl.pcpartpicker.com/list/KTfLgb

CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 5800X 3.8 GHz 8-Core Processor  (€242.95 @ Megekko)
CPU Cooler: be quiet! Pure Rock 2 Black CPU Cooler  (€43.85 @ Amazon Netherlands)
Motherboard: ASRock B550M Steel Legend Micro ATX AM4 Motherboard  (€133.85 @ Megekko)
Memory: G.Skill Ripjaws V 16 GB (2 x 8 GB) DDR4-3600 CL18 Memory  (€54.90 @ Amazon Netherlands)
Storage: Western Digital Blue SN570 1 TB M.2-2280 PCIe 3.0 X4 NVME Solid State Drive  (€76.00 @ Amazon Netherlands)
Video Card: XFX Speedster SWFT 309 Radeon RX 6700 XT 12 GB Video Card  (€453.00 @ Amazon Netherlands)
Case: NZXT H510 Flow ATX Mid Tower Case  (€94.90 @ Amazon Netherlands)
Power Supply: EVGA 650 GQ 650 W 80+ Gold Certified Semi-modular ATX Power Supply  (€86.90 @ Azerty)
Monitor: Asus TUF Gaming VG27AQ 27.0" 2560 x 1440 165 Hz Monitor  (€329.00 @ Amazon Netherlands)
Total: €1515.35

The motherboard may not be available at that price, or may be out of stock. In general solid motherboards can be found at 150-165 eur. That asrock has very good value for the features it has.

You'll want to add some extra storage eventually, maybe a 4+ TB mechanical drive.

The video card does better than a 3060 and it's nearly as good as a 3070, here's compared to other video card models : https://www.techpowerup.com/review/amd-radeon-rx-6700-xt/29.html

You don't want curved monitor at 1080p at 23-24", it's just too small. Get curved monitor if you go for 2560x1080 or 3440x1080 or 3440 x 1440

Ryzen 5 7700 (cpu)(7th gen ryzen because i want to futureproof the pc)(so kinda dont want 5th gen ryzen because of that(just tell me if thats just a stupid idea))

2x8gb ddr5 (ram)(ddr5 because i kinda want to futureproof the pc)

H510 flow (case)( most amazing case eveeer)

A 75hz monitor (curved if possible)(1080p is good for now)(maybe want to upgrade to 1440p in a year, or 2)(and also would like to get a second monitor in a year)

Motherboard (just needs enough io for 2 monitors, 2 speakers, mouse, keyboard, usb ports for the case) ( also ddr5, AM5 cpu connector)

Cpu cooler ( idk how big the cooler needs to be for the cpu)( air cooler)

And power supply (i have no idea)(just not a to sketchy one)

And i dont know if i would need case fans

Do i need anything apart from all those parts (yes, thermal paste. Anything else?)

please also tell me if im being stupid at any part of this

edit: windows 11pro is also needed within budget
