How to fix monitor position

Marcowich

Hi Community聽

I have a 3 monitor setup (All with displayport) which have served me well for many years. However, recently i decided to add a fourth screen in the form of a tv (LG CX), over a fiber hdmi, which causes some problems for me.
The setup works when the tv is on, but since it is OLED, i dont want this to be the case all the time. If i start the computer with the tv turned off, the screens flicker and change position all the time (like it detects and undetects a new screen).

If I turn the tv on and off again the problem fixes itself. This is a little annoying, so i was wondering if you knew of any methods to solve this? I was thinking that it might be possible to force the position of the original monitors or something like that.

Best, Marcowich

Ps. My system is quite high end, so I think this is a software problem

Edit: I am running windows 11 馃檪

The problem is that Windows prefers HDMI which means it will look for HDMI it remembers first. One solution would be to use 3rd party software and have two profiles. One for all 4, one for just 3. Then apply profile before switching TV on or off.
