Just get a decent screen protector. I have the same phone and experienced the same trouble for some time, and finally caved. Bought a UV-cured curved glass screen protector. 4 months since I installed it and it still looks brand new, so it's better than the plastic films already.

It was pricey and a bit of a hassle to install but so far it's 100% worth it. I would never use any phone without a screen protector.

I haven't had a screen protector on my phone in a while (over a year), and my screen has been fine without it while having dropped it a couple times. I've run with screen protectors in the past, but it seemed to crack every 2 weeks and caused touch issues, so I pretty much just stopped buying them. That said, I've priced out how much it would cost to replace my phone screen (with the phone I'm running I can get a replacement screen for the price of 2 glass screen protectors) and am fully willing and capable to swap it myself comes the time being, so do this at your own risk.

Note 20 - no screen protector, still no scratches. MOF I haven't had need for one for several phones now.

The days of easy scratch phone screens have passed, but there are still many people that manage to do it.

If its imperative for you to preserve the phone condition for resale value, then a tempered glass screen protector cant be beat

i just want to preserve the phone since i plan to use it for long time, or if i were to get new phone at least the phone is on good condition that i can hand it down to someone else in nice condition
