Soundcard PCIe Extender?

Im looking to buy a sound card, probably (http://uk.store.creative.com/sound-blaster/sound-blaster-z/1-21402.aspx), its around my price range and seems to have a descent mic with it. My case has a vertically aligned slot on the back (far right). I was wondering if there is a cable that i could get that would span the gap between MB and sound card.

you'd be better off just buying an external dac/amp.

 

that slot is meant for a fan controller, it offers no support putting a full size card there.

The FiiO E10 has many advantages.  Mostly, in this case, no ribbon routing. Or drivers to install.

Hey so its called a riser card Extender, Its riben cable it self is always white but you can do is sleeve that part as I will be in my next build! Works just as well with the cable.

As to the colour of the connecter the male side its more than likly going to always be blue but the female side I have seen Blue, White and black

 

So yeah hope this helps, work great and will be using that when ever I do my builds gets rid of dead space in a case and looks nice!
