Why so much RAM and a 3930k for a gaming system?

I agree. I mean, I know he said he uses this for "everything" which could also mean more than just gaming, but the title says it's his gaming system.

pictures? they don't work for me, but your system sounds very cool and sounds like it can tackle any game you throw at it on the highest settings.

great build nothing wrong with a lot of ram, you can always make a ram disk for something.

I'm curious about that too. The RAM not so much, but the CPU and the PSU. 1200w for a couple of 6970s seems hugely wasted.

Ok well I had the money and I wanted to make sure I always had the power covered if I ever upgrade, I also do video rendering and running 3 screens so guys don't worry so much :)

Have you tried turning it off and on again?

Very nice setup, I only wish my cable management could be that clean. haha, some of my cables are only long enough for a direct route so I couldn't get it to look this good. I'll have to post my setup sometime soon.

Rock On!

Why is the sound card installed in the expansion slot for USB ports and not plugged in to a PCI-E slot?
