I am literally scared right now because I have no idea what to do, I think I just broke a 4TB hard drive. The port where the SATA connector is supposed to plug into is damaged, I have an SSD hooked up with SATA as well but I don't know if there is any way to link them.

Is there any way I'm not completely screwed? There is a 30 day warranty on the parts but I don't think it covers personal damage...\

Please help!

Pictures please? And i am certain you can still return it and get a new one, unless you say you broke it for fun.

If it isn't working absolutely perfectly, according to all your assumptions, it is broken.

I can't get any pictures because I don't know how to send them on the ipod, there is no other way to hook up a hard drive right?

Not really, unless it has a secondary connector then no. I am just wondering if the connector is actually broken beyond any repair or salvage.

Not really. The data flows from the SATA port on the drive, and if this is damaged, then the drive is no good to you, unless you have the skills to open the drive and replace the individual parts yourself. You will most likely need to RMA the product.

You're better off contacting the company who makes the drive rather than the place you bought it.

The company can handle the cost with much greater ease than a small retail store would.

My dad's warrantied several hard drives for various reasons. They likely won't mind.
