Building 1U Minecraft server

Go to solution Solved by Electronics Wizardy,

I have that board used in a server now, in a datacenter. Haven't had an issue.

Id suggest getting the asrock bare bones enclosure if you can. Then it comes with a heatsink and fans that are rated to cool the cpu, and the io shiled and other parts work well. Here is the list of the ones they make https://www.asrockrack.com/general/products.asp#Barebone

Those modules should work fine as they don't have a heatsink. Id consider getting faster like 3200 as its not that much more these days

Hello,
I'm just thinking about how to build my 1U server.
The server will be primarily for Minecraft servers, so the server should be focused on single core.
What combination of motherboard and processor should I use?
I already have the power supply and case at home (https://www.supermicro.com/en/products/chassis/1u/815/sc815tq-600cb) .

I'm thinking of using an ASRock X570D4U motherboard (https://www.asrockrack.com/general/productdetail.asp?Model=X570D4U#Specifications) (mainly because it has the RAM slots positioned so as not to obstruct airflow to the CPU cooler) in combination with a Ryzen 5 5600 on which I would use a Dynatron A37 cooler (https://www.dynatron.co/product-page/a37), how bad is this idea, should I use something different?

The server will be placed in a datacenter, so noise is not an issue.
I plan to use 2 NVMe SSDs as storage, in RAID 1.

I'm thinking of using G.Skill F4-2666C19D-64GNT RAMs, will they fit in 1U? I couldn't find an official size anywhere and I'm quite afraid that they won't fit by a bit.

Alternatively, which RAM modules would you recommend to use?

Thank you for every reply.
