Soo.. i shut down my pc, let it rest for about 30 mins...Turn it back on immediatelly opened hwinfo64 and then proceed to open snipping tool and here is the picture i took...Ambient temp is 30 degree

yeah that "looks" a little high, but around 40-50 is really normal on air, and its a bit warmer in Mauritius (?) as u said, 30c, its 17c in my room for example...

and some intels run hot anyways... all u can do is set a higher fancurve or get a *good* aio (expensive)... imo thats nothing to worry about as long it works ok otherwise.

ps: and yeah, *if* it starts throttling (u can see it hwinfo64) during load, then you have to think about a solution... turning off turbo boost may be also an option.

Hey. Im Razaa from the island of Mauritius...I really needed some help considering my PC and also Im really new to this forum.

My Pc: I7-7700k, 32gb Ram running at 2400mhz running in dual channel and A quadro k2200 gpu with MSI B250M Gaming pro(MS-7A65) running WIN11

So here is my problem...I just got this PC,(the pc with the following config above) and I ran cinebench for the first time and was surprised by only getting 1703 in multi-core but then i managed to fix it by just changing the setting in control panel from power saving to high performance which made me get 3702 running at 4400mhz at a temp of 80 degree celcius with max at 88, got this info from HWMonior and btw my average room temp is around 30 degrees.I was pretty shoked by how much a simple control panel setting was affecting my performance but then being satisfied by the results I was still confused on why other people's i7 was running twice as fast as mine with a wapping 6000+ point

+Notes
-At idle my cpu usage is aroung 50 to 60 percent with 4.4 ghz and temp aroung 70 to 75 degree
-Hyper threading is enabled in case this is a problem
-No overclock/underclock or overvolt/undervolt done
-Also in BIOS my CPU fan RPM is just literally stays at 0 and i cant seem to understand why even though its correctly pluged in and for sure is working(This is a different problem but i would appreciate if anyone could help with this too)

Anyway..Hope anyone can help fix the problem
Thanks in advance,

I will be going to bed few hours after posting this so srry for late replies,

Edit: Here is the picture of the cooler im using and The temp im receiving. And also fan curve and temp in bios

Can be a combination of many things.

I'm assuming you got this PC used and Windows was already installed? I would reinstall windows completely, delete the drive partition and remake it. Just to remove any possible gunk the previous owner left on it.

Then, the temperatures. This is very likely a cooling issues. Is it using an intel stock cooler or something better? Considering the age of the system, it would probably be a good idea to repaste the CPU with some new thermal compound. Bad cooling can result in lower performances.

However is odd that your sitting at 50% CPU usage at idle.... Do you know what programs are causing the issue?

So i should not be worry of the cinebench score because i was thinking maybe my system is underclock in some way and also I managed to solve the idle issue it was a program running in the background and its now sitting at around 15 percent. Is this good?

Oof, It might be possible the cooler isn't making properly contact then. These temps are simply not normal if, as you say, ambient is 30.
Was it an AIO ? If so did you make sure you screw it in a X pattern one turn at a time per screw ?

op said its a "fan cooler" so i guess no aio?

also 50c idle is not normal?  how come?

my cpu is around 40 idle and my room temp is under 20, so think thats actually very normal.

other people's i7

there are many different versions of "i7" are you sure you checked against the *exact same* version of "i7" than you have?

honestly i think you worry a bit too much, is the pc working ok, or does it freeze / hang / lag a lot?

Yes its not an aio

Actually right now i just turned on my pc and checked at the temp and it was sitting at 70 to 75 degree while still no other open except from opera and HWmonitor

Actually yeah the PC work ok pretty much now im just a little wrry about the temperature. And yes i checked against the exact same version of i7.

Noo its not an AIO.Let me get you a picture for reference. I have also checked if the screw was correctly screwed and they were. Ambient temp is around 30 degree still. Please do check the edit above. Thank you for following up

hmm ok... so reboot the pc, dont open anything (except a monitoring tool) and check temps because that is actually when it should be *idle*.

also install hwinfo64,  hwmonitor is pretty broken, id remove it tbh. also always use just one monitoring tool at a time (hwinfo64 is really pretty much the best)

yeah that "looks" a little high, but around 40-50 is really normal on air, and its a bit warmer in Mauritius (?) as u said, 30c, its 17c in my room for example...

and some intels run hot anyways... all u can do is set a higher fancurve or get a *good* aio (expensive)... imo thats nothing to worry about as long it works ok otherwise.

ps: and yeah, *if* it starts throttling (u can see it hwinfo64) during load, then you have to think about a solution... turning off turbo boost may be also an option.
