At the eye Dr. you know those machines that tale pics of your eyes, anyway 1t is huge, I mean smash your whole face to it & try to get you eye looking in to hole. Anyway, why don't they should just build a scope at the front of the machine to look into. It would be alot easier, I go to the eye Dr. often & it would be great to not hold my face against a machine. Sorry, not sure what the machine is called.

Likely there's some reason they don't do that. Cost, complexity, user interface, etc. Though you could ask your doctor what the machine is called next time you're there, and then you could call the manufacturer and suggest they do that.

For you, maybe not the doctor. This will introduce a lot of movement. We humans are not good at being steady. I've been on the other side of that machine(only to look what the doc does). It's really zoomed in, so even the slightest movement appears massive. They do something like you would to focus on an object as you take a photo from your phone, and am certain movement is not tolerated there. Essentially, being steady is crucial and not resting your face onto something is the opposite of that.

I am not an eye doctor, have only talked to a few as a kid.

Also, can people please title their thread to something that actually talks about the thread itself?

I am getting pretty fucking sick and tired of the "watch something else" responses. It's such a cop out answer because you could say that about basically anything, and it doesn't address the actual complaints. People use it as some kind of card they pull when they can't actually respond to the criticism raised but they still feel like they need to defend some company/person. If you don't like this thread then stop reading it. See how stupid it is? It's basically like telling someone "shut the fuck up". It's not a clever responsive, it doesn't address anything said, and it is rude.

MKBHD is but an Apple propagandist and fanboy. Take his videos with a grain of salt, especially about anything Apple. In his video titled "I Visited Apple's Secret iPhone Testing Labs!", he has shown that he makes no effort to fact check Apple's claims, and takes it at face value. I do not believe he can be trusted as an Reviewer/Influencer.

A chin rest weould still br fine, just it is like you are smashing your face against the wall to look into a hole. They have another machine that takes pics of the eye it is much better. Another purpose though.
