Bad problems with my new PC

Today i finished my PC,

Specs:

Asrock Extreme 4 970 Mobo (i think)

AMD FX 6300

AMD AsusR9 280x

8 GB RAM

650 Watt PSU

WD Green 1TB

Seagate Barracuda 1TB

 

I booted it up when i finished putting it together, I was very excited because it worked perfectly at first.

When i started BF4 i had GREAT frame rates (Always over 60 fps and around 80-90 average)

Suddenly the screen turned black and the PC restarted itself

The motherboard showed some weird numbers and letters on the little display.

Starting up took WAAY longer than normal

When it finally booted up the PC was extremely slow.

Loading stuff took ages and BF4 got around 20 FPS.

I checked all the components for temperature, and checked if they were working properly, As far as i know they are fine.

Does anyone know what this could be and how to fix it?

Did you do any stability testing before you jumped in and started gaming?

do it over maybe the ram or something wasn't installed properly

I checked the temps and stuff when i booted it up for the first time, all seemed fine.

I reinstalled the ram, that wasnt it.

What numbers did it give you? check them in the manual and it will relate to a error.

They flicked by really quick, the only thing i remember was FF.

Edit: It says "Reserved for future error codes"

hmm.... sounds like a motherboard issue. (its ASrock so...).

Did you check the temps of the system at desktop before jumping in to game?

 

Also what is the exact make and model of that 650w PSU and does it output the required amps on the +12v rails to power the card?

yes i did,

 The temps were fine.

PSU is MS-tech MS-N650-VAL. I dont know if it does.

you should always run stability tests on new computers just to be sure BEFORE gaming , just as a precaution ,in case it needs to be RMA'D

The GPU box says:

Minimun 750 watt PSU with a minimum 12V current rating of 24A. (the PSU has 12V i think.)

I might have to buy a bigger PSU i guess.

BTW, the general speeds of the PC increased to normal after having it running for a little while.

you should get AIDA extreme 64 and look at the readings that gives you in regard to the hardware to see if anything might be out like +12v or the 5V rails , and even Vcore possibilly , also look into the chipset of the Motherboard/ the bios see if anything needs to be done there

a 650W PSU should be fine for a 280X , might be an idea to do a trade for a different more well know PSU brand possibly :L

Yeah get something from a reputable brand, for all you know it doesn't do what it's rated at. I wouldn't be surprised if it didn't.

I have to save for 2 months until i can buy the cheapest Corsair 750 watt PSU. Well then.

Im not sure if anything is wrong with this.

everything seems fine there , the vcore voltage is low but i'm just guessing that is due to idling , like my 4930K does. but the voltages and AMP's are looking just fine

You'll have to save for a lot longer if that one you are using goes pop and kills the rest of your components

Antec is also good, I'd trust Thermaltake, Seasonic is good too. There are a bunch, but generic Chinese ones definitely aren't the way to go

IM from the netherlands, we have most brands here
