Start by just enabling PBO2 in bios and see where that takes you.

I have not overclocked a Ryzen CPU, at least not by the book. My overclocking days were in the AMD K6 Era up to the AMD FX Era, msot active on Athlon XP Barton overclocing and AMD Phenom II later. I am not as good with the latest features, too many for me to bother. And too little to gain.

Download the latest version of Ryzen Master.

Go to "Curve Optimiser" and switch mode to "Precision Boost Overdrive"

 

Enter the following settings:

 

PPT = 120

TDC = 75

EDC = 110

 

That should be nice and safe on a 5700/5800.

Keep PBO scalar off.

 

Click "Apply and Test"

Let it spend the next ~90 minutes dialling in the optimised curves for your CPU. It will then auto-apply these in the BIOS.

 

 

 

 

The results of me running the Ryzen Master curve optimiser for 90-100 minutes on my 5900X got me SIGNIFICANTLY better PBO2 performance at lower voltages and lower temperatures than a total of probably 6 hours manual tweaking. And it's been perfectly stable for me so far.
