Best 120mm fans $25 max (preferably less) per fan? Sound is (almost) not an issue.

  • Case: 5000D Airflow
  • CPU: i5-13600KF
  • GPU: 3080 (vertical mounted w/ CoolerMaster vertical mount)
  • Cooler: Arctic Liquid Freezer II 360mm

I'm planning to populate all of my fan slots but am having a hard time deciding on which fans to use. Originally I was going with the T30 but my bank account wouldn't be very happy. Currently considering Arctic P12s or Noctua NF-P12s but leaning towards the P12s because apparently the Noctuas are quite loud for their performance. As I've stated, noise doesn't matter to me, I could care less if my PC sounded like a jet hitting lightspeed but the fans should at least have matching performance for the noise they're outputting. Any suggestions?

Slim are rather bad, only to use if you really need the slimness 🙂

Maybe you can fit one of these:

https://www.delta-fan.com/technology/three-phase-fan/pfm1412deb7v.html

There's something to be said for 480qm^3 per hour.  Just don't stick your fingers into it while it's running.

Or pick one: https://www.delta-fan.com/products/dc-axial-fans.html

This would fit: https://noctua.at/en/nf-f12-industrialppc-3000-pwm

Noctua sacrifices airflow for noise.

I don't know your prices.  If you can, go with Noctua or Delta: Besides airflow, there is also something to be said for quality.  I have some Noctuas running in my server because I need quiet and reliable, and they've been running for a couple years (5?) 24/7 without issues now.  Not every fan does that.  Noctua gives you a very good value for your money, especially when you want quiet.

I got a bunch of Delta fans for free and put them into my other server because it needs airflow and the Sunon fans it came with sucked.  They're from an old IBM server and also work great.  It's not running a lot, but the other IBM server has been running for 10 years or more now and has no issues either.
