Who makes better quality motherboards for price? ASUS ROG or GIGABYTE Aorus

ASUS ROG makes really flashy motherboards and i've met a ton of people with ASUS boards, they say they're amazing and that they last really long. I've met 2 people with Aorus boards and they say pretty much the same thing. Right now i'm looking to get either the ASUS ROG Z690-F or the GIGABYTE Aorus Z690 Master D5 for my 12700K. Which is better in terms of price for quality?

I don't have any personal experience with the 2 boards you listed, i do have owned boards of both brands(currently gigabyte) and never had issues with either.

I am very curious tho why you want to spend so much money on either of these boards, you can get the same out of a 200-250 range board.

You won't find an answer that broad, as in one is universally better than the other. Everyone has an opinion. My personal opinion is I avoid Asus, and prefer Gigabyte.

The Gigabyte in this case has the better VRM setup / power delivery setup. Personally this would already make me lean towards the Gigabyte board.

These two boards aren't really quite the same though. So is this a fair comparison?

Generally ASUS is more expensive. If comparing boards from ASUS and Gigabyte in the same price segments, usually Gigabyte has better features, especially in I/O, aesthetics, and RGB. This is especially evident in the more budget segments, but shifts towards ASUS being better at the high end.

Gigabyte to me has easier to understand BIOS, but then again possibly I'm just used to them.

In recent years, Gigabyte Intel boards haven't been great with memory compatibility.

Gigabyte and ASUS both have poop support though, so you're on your own for the most part when it comes to problems.

Then there's MSI...which gets you more spartan features (less form, more function) for good prices. Their BIOS to me seems kinda weird though. But it has dragons.

I heard Asus daily's better than Gigabyte. But I can't say for sure. The last time I owned a Gigabyte board was in the X58 days, and the Asus I bought to replace it was light years better in everything.

I only buy asus. Older stuff looked the best and worlds apart in features.
Recent stuff has a horrible interface and dealing with the crate software.
But I prefer a good layout, specific color boards and water block options. Only other brand I would get would be evga.
