Loose Noctua Clips

Photo from noctuas website. You gotta bend it a bit to get it to work.

Anyone with Noctua air cooler experience. Am I doing something wrong here? The clips for holding a fan in place are extremely loose and not really clamping down on anything.

Is that the right fan for it? Looks like you need  another 10mm to make up the 25mm.

Yes, this is the fan that came with the heatsink, NH-L12S.

The actual clipping part is the middle notch on the clip, not the last one.

Right, added a third photo in a reply showing how it rests when flat. Still not secured to anything.

You have clip it from the bottom, you have the fan in the wrong position according to pictures on google

It should be able to clip from the top too though.

It can be set for low profile, the image on the website, for extreme space saving. Or high profile, my application, for when space isn't an issue.
