Upgrading my rig.

Windows 8? I replaced all my parts and booted into WIndows 8 with no problem.

no, you can just boot from your hdd and you will be good to go.

ewww windows 8 , windows 7 rules the world , but you will have to due to the change of motherboard , as all the address to port and sata cables will be different and the OS will get confused

well... you're going to change your MB... unless you've a "full demo" ( :ph34r: ) or retail version (anything that isn't OEM) you don't have to reinstall it.

 i would recommend a 4607k instead of 4670 as it is only £10 difference and 4670k can be overclocked and do much better

My Windows 8 didn't get confused, it just took a few minutes with the first boot to install the drivers.

as it is h87 then i would upgrade to z87 and 4670k

if the price is too much downgrade the 770 to a 760 as it is way good enough
