Budget (including currency): can go up to 1000€ maybe more

Country:  greece

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: mostly stream&gaming

Other details: So I got a x470 ultra with a 3600x and a 590 nitro, I am gonna update to a 6800xt or a 3070ti but still waiting for 7900xt to come out and maybe 4060/4070, BUT I can't decide for a cpu 5900x and 5800x3d are on my mind but I don't know if I should go to intel or not, or if i should go for the am5.

Intel or AM5 will require a complete system upgrade.

Getting a 5600X or 5800X3D (don't get a 5900X) will give you a pretty big performance jump.

The 3D cache can put the 5800X3D up into the same level at the Ryzen 7000-series.

In some cases, tops the chart.

Here 'Tech Jesus' compares Ryzen 2000 ~ 7000-series vs Intel 12th + 13th Gen

I saw tech jesus but in the benchmarks 5800x3d is kinda on the same level with 5900x. Here they both cost 360€..but I don't mind changing the build to intel as long the prices are normal and I get the "high end" performance like the 5800x3d delivers

5800X3D is faster in gaming than 5900X, esp. for games relying on cache, but it's slower for everything else and has 4 cores less

So it's really a tradeoff...
