Terrible echoey room sound efects

Since a few days I get this really terrible echoey room sound effect. I tried disabling such things on Realtek audio program but there wasn't any option to activate any in the first place. I don’t know what to do any more please help.

I'm using windows 10 home on 2021 razer blade 15 advanced (RZ09-0367)

It’s not the room I also get this when using headphones. Especially when using headphones!

When using the speakers it’s still there but you won’t notice it as much.

It’s also not caused by the headphones I'm using because if that were the case I would have the same issue on different devices but I don't.

Ok, if its happening with both the speakers and the headphones, that eliminates a number of possibilities.

This is a remedy that you want to look at as your setting may need changed.

I looked at the article and I don't have these options in the device options.

I’ve put a screenshot of the settings page mentioned if there were any effect settings there would be one called "Verbeserungen" in my language.

But I found this message under the tab Events from the device properties page of Realtek(R) Audio Codec with THX Spatial Audio:

The device "INTELAUDIO\FUNC_01&VEN_10EC&DEV_0298&SUBSYS_1A582016&REV_1001\5&10282cab&0&0001" requires further installations.

See second Screen shot:

Sounds like you have a mic with too much pickup.

If that would be the case I wouldn't have that problem with my in ear headphones.

Possibly some more help:

Mein Deutsch ist sehr, sehr schlecht

I tried all the things applicable in my case mentioned in the article, keep in mind that the article was about USB issues so most of the fixes weren’t useful to me. Another thing to mention I recently I booted up in ubuntu and had no issues whatsoever, so I don’t think that it has anything to do with the bios or the chip set. It’s a Windows issue nit hardware.

Yes, Windows is the #1 of the top 4 OS's for problems for users.

Could have been a hardware issue that’s why tested my system with ubuntu. Had a USB stick with it lying around.

  • 1 year later...

I fixed it by reinstalling windows 10.

But now I have a totally different problem.

But that's a different topic.
