A Z97 board but without a cpu being launched?

Overclockers.co.uk do have all the gigabyte z97 boards right now.

oh ok, i tought it was some kind of board with some mystery cpu

It'll be a while before Devil's Canyon is out, but the Haswell refresh will be out in a couple of weeks

I hope it wont be like AMD bulldoser, I think with bulldoser the boards were released early and everyone rushed for them, then the cpu came out and it was meh.

They did exactly the same thing with the Z77 chipset and Ivy Bridge, except that Z77 was available about 3 weeks before the CPUs were.

like with sandy and ivy bridge, you can use haswell cpus in Z97 motherboards ;)
