Business' Instagram Account got Hacked.

PointFive

So at 11.30 today I got an email that someone has changed the email of our account. Then they changed the phone number of the account. Is there a way to recover it aside from contacting support, since this route will take some time and we are afraid that they might be able to do more damage in the mean time.

So to recap:

- no access to email (changed email)

- no access to 2fa (Phone number, and they have changed it)

- password have been changed

Since its business, support might be the fastest way. If it was verified account, contacting support and telling them to terminate/freeze account is your best way.

Though its curious how did they login first place as you had 2FA active. Does your country allow using phone numbers without any verifications?

Without getting into too much detail, they mishandled the 2FA. Soooooo yea.
