Problem with macbook pro 2017 13"

So I found a macbook on eBay, and when I asked the seller about the problem this is what they've said. But I can't seem to wrap my head around what the actual problem is?

 

"Seems to work fine but (I think only when not on charge) will put itself to sleep and then says it can’t find the os, can be ok if resetting the nvram, doesn’t seem to be a problem if plugged in so apple suggested the battery replacement which has been done but still happening."

Yeah don't buy this device. This is a known issue and usually indicates a part board failiure/storage failiure.

 

Basically you are buying a dying device.
