Microphone/Audio meter to plug into PC to control max volume for large venue.

HeyKitty

for outdoor venues, there are noise ordinances to follow in my area.

Curious if there is a microphone program, or audio level reader that can change the audio out level on a windows machine.

It'd basically act as a live compressor so that I can set the microphone in a location, and set it to example of 60DbA limit, if the audio out hits or gets near 60DbA, it can start compressing it to keep noise complaints away.

THIS IS MY SUPER TEENY TINY SIGNATURE!

Ain't it just the cutest little signature.

Some would argue it is the cutest little signature ever.

I don`t know of such a program, but usually you just measure how loud the system you have, can be max, to rech this noise level in this area and then you set a limiter to that level.

It be easier to just put a limiting system before the speakers.

XLR in from the system, then out to the speaker amps. Has a microphone which you use to measure how loud the venue is.

Theres cheaper ones which are a hard limit on input gain
