Upgrading to Windows 11 causes games to drop frames

Go to solution Solved by Nana6541,

It was THROTTLESTOP!!

I had Clock Mod, Set Multiplier and Speed Shift EPP ticked.

I unticked them and the games ran flawlessly. Wow, it took me forever to figure this out (on Win 10 it didn't seem to affect my game).

Most games are fine, their frame pacing can be a little off but the one with the biggest issue is Fortnite.

Sitting in the main menu shows framerate drops to 30-50 fps every second or so, which translates very poorly to gameplay as the game feels very stuttery.

Overwatch exibits some bad framerate drops here and there, despite it running perfectly fine prior to upgrading to Win 11.

I have performed DDU and installed the latest NVIDIA driver.

I will also try reinstalling Fortnite to hopefully fix the issue.

I would, however I upgraded for the sole reason of fixing another issue which I posted about on this forum.

I have discovered that my drive partitions were highly fragmented (10%+) so I am currently fixing that now in case that may help.
