CPU choosing help

5800X3D or 5900X.  I am leaning towards the X3D as I usually play at 1080p 75fps. But what do you think.  DONT COUNT PRICE as they are both going at the same price right now.

I will be using this pretty much just for gaming.

1080p 75Hz isn't demanding...
Why would it matter when your goal is only 74-75FPS
Either CPU choice can do it.....many lesser CPU's can do that also...

Your actual use case??? or goal for the CPU????..... in question besides 75Hz Gaming.

Maximums - Asus Z97-K /w i5 4690 Bclk @106.9Mhz * x39 = 4.17Ghz, 8GB of 2600Mhz DDR3,.. Gigabyte GTX970 G1-Gaming @ 1550Mhz

I'm saying there are heaps of CPU's that can do a minimum of 75FPS in 95% of titles...
Check CPU reviews and compare results across the same games (use same reviewer to make sure results/test systems are equal)
Reviewers use Highend GPU's to stretch CPU's legs in FPS terms,...make comparing CPU's easier looking at graphs.

I notice you are asking part by part topics.

Go into the build planning and then fill in the form. That will make it a lot easier for us to help you get a full pc tailored to your needs.
