alright so 3900x is the cpu, running a 3090 and a 3080 on this pc

when let’s say I open 40 runescape clients the mouse laggs, computer starts freezing and then even tho I’m using my 3090 the fans on my 3080 start spinning and I lose signal to the display

recently same thing happens if I start mining as well

it only happens when gpu is under heavy load. I tried the same with my 6600xt and yea the computer is extremely laggy with 40 clients open but it doesn’t crash

prev the 3090 was stable even with 100 of them open although it was at 100% load consuming like 400 watts or so. my 3900x was at like 97% load

I think the issue also gets worse with cpu is over 50% load but not really sure. all this sht started happening after a windows update recently

this is kinda disappointing because my dualcore and 9600gt or 9800gtdidn’t even have such issues, they just didn’t wanna open sht and we’re just laggy

I wonder what causes display to stop working and for a gpu which I’m not even using to start spinning its fans

idk how to rollback but this is so strange? let’s say I click to open 40 clients. mouse will start glitching, itll be extremely slow and then display turns off. I was monitoring gpu wattage and it was anywhere from 150 to about 300.

as for cpu voltage it goes to 1.4-1.5 cpu usage varies from 15-55 which is quite strange

the gpu usage is at 50 to about 90

ram usage is 50%

gpu temps are around 60 which is quite normal, like 70 ram temps

cpu is kinda strange ranging from 45 to about 65 degrees like wtf

I am using a 750 superflower argb psu which has been mining flawlessly for like a year now. my 3080 and 6600xt have one 750 watt psu while my 3900x and 3090 have a separate 750 watt psu

hdd usage is 81%

3090 voltage is .65 lowest, .7250 at idle and highest is 1.0810v

oh and fyi in this specific room pc has turned off whenever ac turns on so the room is notorious for electric issues

it may be that its electrical issue as I had before

of course I called the electric company and they said the problem was inside the house. that’s what happens when you have bootleg electricians do work in ur house ffs

so now idk if it’s hardware related or if electricity related

tried different outlet. with 3090 it opens a few more clients but mouse starts freezing again

I did manage to get 78% ram usage out of 64gb wow! ofcourse on the 6600xt cuz both 3080 and 3090 crash the pc

I think the problem is definitely voltage/wattage due to bootleg electricians which did the outlets

if I take it slow I’m able to not have the pc shut off but if I’m a bit more aggressive it turns off I think due to insufficient voltage or wattage.

Sounds like a classic like borked PSU issue OR its a faulty temp sensors. Its one or the other.

I love PC building and gaming.
REMEMBER botttlenecks can happen at all points of a PC part. Make sure you are at equilibrium. For all parts unless you intend to upgrade at a later point. Also QA Tested AAA Games.
