Upgrading CPU on older retail system (NCR RealPOS 70XRT)

Currently looking for a cpu upgrade for this system because why not, i have upgraded ram from the stock 4gb to 8gb, installed a 2tb hdd boot drive and a small 20gb hdd for random files, it has a lot of serial and usb and external sata storage,

This is the cpu, its using mobile type cpu, some sorta laptop upgradeable socket, not the ball type, and the innards are interesting to say the least, im just having trouble finding a good compatable upgrade and didnt know where else to ask (the ncr subreddit and the pos subreddits couldnt help me) hopefully i have provided enough information about the system, will provide pictures of the socket itself when its not in use (using it as a plex/file server)

much thanks in advance

i got it for free, and just wanted to see if i could make it a bit more bearable, it works fine for plex *after heavy optimizations*
probably should put some form of linux on it

but yea, this is early windows 7 embedded days...

I would say the best chip that you could use is a q9000, those can be found on ebay for around $20, the system will get extra smoothness from the two extra cores, but clock speed on such an old architecture is going to be a large factor for smoothness as well, if you can OC on stock voltage up to something more reasonable (2.6-3ghz) you'll be fairly well off.

Throttlestop would probably be a good place to start, use a high intensity stress test (P95, OCCT, IBT) and start stepping up clock speed if it allows you

I'm not aware of any alternatives if throttlestop doesn't work
