I have a i7-7700 Gigabyte  z270x-ud5 system with 32gb of ram and a gtx 1050ti. Would a 3060 or 3050 be cpu limited in modern games at 1440p or 1080p? I'd like to play Elden Ring, Spider-Man remastered, and Final Fantasy VII Remake. I heard I might be able to play these on my current system, but that the gpu might need an upgrade.

An RX 6600 or an RTX 2060 are pretty much the strongest GPU-s I'd pair with such an i3 low end cpu.

The 3050 is trash. Better an used GTX 1080 than that.

I don't think so. The RTX 3060 Should be a good step up from your GTX 1050 ti.

The OP has a 7th gen i7-7700, it should still be fine with GPUs a little stronger than the RTX 2060.

I'd go for an RX6600 or 6650XT instead. Faster than either the 3060 or 3050 and cheaper.

RTX 3050 is cringe and the RTX 3060 is decent. So it's anything between a 2060 super and a RTX 3060 if you want some gamer FPS (I'd suggest the RTX 3060.)

It should still be fine. If the OP likes the RTX 3060, it should not be a problem IMO. Are there better options? Yes, but maybe they want ray tracing too.
