Tenda router connection problem

My tenda router keeps disconnecting from the network, I use the Ethernet port from my university campus dorm and it s working fine without any problems but when I am using the same port with mu router it keeps disconnecting stay s up some minutes then it goes down a couple seconds or even minutes. The connections is using PPPOE as the way access the network. Had anyone encounter this problem before it s a problem from the network or the router?

Does your university allow you to use your own routers on their network?

 

Could be DHCP renewing the LAN IP. Most university IT departments discourage use of unauthorized student routers/APs on their network. If they notice unusual activity, they will flag your device as rogue and may take measures to terminate the connection.
