İs it okay to let a surge protector to hang in mid air?

İ have a ceiling fan and the cord for it is too short so it keeps the surge protector in mid air is this okay?

Totally fine, the stresses on the cords and connections aren't enough to worry about.  

 

It's not IDEAL, but it won't hurt anything.

 

WTF kind of ceiling fan do you have that uses a cord and not power into the celling?

İt's not exactly a ceiling fan actually.Its more like a house fan screwed onto the wall but i wanted to keep it simple
