Is it possible, without using a virtual machine, to boot windows 7 off of a ramdisk? I went overbudget on my pc build and bought dual quad core xeons and 64gb of ram totally forgetting to buy an SSD. also,,, it would be fun to experiment with the ram. if i could do it that would be awesome, it would get me by until i have money for an SSD (all i have right now are a few sh*tty HDDs...)

I dont think so because when your computer turns off your memory gets wiped everytime

There are programs though that dont allow the memory to be wiped though, im pretty sure.

That's not what those programs do, they transfer the content on the RAM to a designated drive before shutdown, then back to the RAM on startup, thus making your boot and shutdown times several minutes, pretty much eliminating the point of the experiment in the first place.
