RTX 3080 12gb £914 vs RTX 3090 TI £1100

Hey all. Very tempted to pull the trigger on a 30 series now.. feel like the prices are basically as low as they're going to get. agree? Or not? Say why 🙂

So I'm looking at msi Suprim X cards as they fit my athestic I'm going for etc etc.

My question is would you recommend a 3080 12gb i can get for £914 or a 3090 TI i can get for £1200

(Yes UK prices suck)

It will be paired with a 12900k

And I'm looking to play COD MWII, Super people, ARK 2 (when it releases) and similar games if this helps.

I'm at the point where I wouldn't get a 12GB card but I've also had a 3080 (10GB) for a long time and occasionally run out (4k).  The 2GB likely makes a difference now but I would worry about 1-2 years.  If I were to get a new 3000 series, it would be a 3090ti here you can get a FE for $1099.

For £1200 you could afford a 4080 16 GB.

the £ has dropped in value so prices will likely start going up for goods made abroad. So I'm doubting I'll get a 4080 for anywhere near £1200. But i may just hold fire and see whats best price to performance once the 40 series is for sale 👍🏻

I'm sitting here thinking the same, there's a 3090ti on Scan at the moment for £999, I'm tempted to go for it, as I have a feeling a 3090ti will be about between a 4080 12gb and 4080 16gb 🥲

Using the table here to compare

I'd say go for it. i was watching 3090ti prices here in Canada, but a interesting thing happened.

All the best buy 3090ti webpages has been removed today in the Canadian site.

Idk what that actually means, did Nvidia actually cleared all the supposed stocks? Or are they planning some sorta product rebrand that no body knows about.
