Reboots when Launching certain games.

Brockbone302

I have recently upgraded my Cpu and cooler because my previous issue was over heating cpu so i upgrade both and now when launching games such as Apex and the New Modern Warfare Beta the computer turns off and power cycles but all of the RGB never turns off during the reboot. With games such as Valorant and Forza Horizon 5 they run perfectly. The other big issue is after i replace the Cpu the base clock speed in task manager show 1.25Ghz but going into Ryzen Master and changing the clock speeds it changes but base clocks never change.

Follow this guide and disable the auto restart feature in windows so you can capture the BSOD code if there is one that shows up.

So I'm not getting a BSOD it still auto restarts. @Skiiwee29

If its auto rebooting without a BSOD, this is almost always a sign of a PSU issue.

So why would it only do it with certain games out of pure curiosity?

some games have graphics that makes your GPU draw more power often in spikes, like at load, and such.

PSU's also retards with age, how old is it?

Hi I'm back again with an update. I just installed a new power supply Corsair HX1200 and it did the same thing with this one (restarting without BOSD, RGB lights staying illuminated throughout reset). But this time when I tested it I had the side panel off and I heard the fans ramp up but kick off with the rest. Also having a issue with CPU being stuck at 1.25Ghz unless forced in AMD Ryzen Master

The old PSU was a Corsair RM750 and i don’t believe it was more than three years old, I had bought the PC as is from someone at the beginning of 2021. @Robchil @Skiiwee29
