If you have a ASUS Maximus V Formula, will there be much difference if you buy a Creative Sound Blaster Recon3D?

'Cuz the Maximus V already has the built-in audio serperately, or does that have nothing to do with it?

I have a rampage 4 extreme and i didn't think that a sound card would make a big difference but i bought a essence stx and it was amazing. Everything sounds so crisp and i will probably never go back to not use a soundcard. I would definitley buy a soundcard if i were you! :)

NZXT Phantom, Asus Rampage IV Extreme, EVGA GTX 690, I7 3930K, 32 Gb RAM, Asus Xonar Essense STX, Samsung 830 240Gb, Seagate Barracuda 2Tb, RAT9, G19

The Maximus has way better onboard sound than the extreme. I also have a Xonar STX and would never ever go back to having no soundcard, but it'S up to you how important sound is for you

I like speakers more than headphones, I am now using my Logitech Z906, but I don't know if there will be much difference between the very good built-in audio from SupremeFX IV or with a soundcard like the Recon3D...

The Extreme doesn't have the SupremeFX audio unfortunately, but I think I'll buy a soundcard too  ;)
