Hi guys taco here asking you how bad my CPU is. I have the AMD Fx 8150 and I over clocked it to 4.2 Ghz. My birthday is coming up and what I really want is a NZXT H440 green/black (those are coming out in a few hours I hope) and a matching g1 sniper. Is it really worth the upgrade to a 4670k or maybe even a 4770k? Will the difference in performance be so amazing my jaw will need to be clamped closed? Or will it be just like 5-10% ? The games I play mainly are battlefield 4 and minecraft. My GPU is the gtx 770 2gb. When I over clocked to 4.2 Ghz, I saw a huge improvement in minecraft while recording with fraps. So is it super completely worth it to switch to Intel for a couple hundred extra bucks, or should I just stick with AMD for now and upgrade to a better fx CPU later? Thanks!

wow, thats a lot of bees!

If your system already runs at satisfactory settings and you're not running single core cpu bound games, upgrading your cpu won't do much.

If you don't have enough performance, go ahead and upgrade. If you do, save your money for when you actually need to upgrade or spend the money on something more worthwhile. It would help to list what you currently have.

Your CPU is just fine. Its up to you if you want to upgrade to an intel or not, but it will be an expensive upgrade because you will have to replace your motherboard too. But, if it's just for gaming, do not get a 4770K as it is a waste for gaming since hyperthreading is not utilized by games yet.

The bulldozer parts have slightly worst single thread than the Phenom II so a 8320 (piledriver) would be a big improvement.

I didn't think the single thread performance on Piledriver was much better compared to Bulldozer?

Piledriver is a bit under the i series, bulldozer didn't even compete.

Really, my Core i3-2120 scored around the same in Cinebench R15 on single core even though the FX-8350 was over a GHz faster.

Piledriver IPC is around 10% faster than bulldozer, 5% faster than K10. It's around 70% slower clock for clock than Intel sometimes though :o
