Should I buy a used Phanteks p400a for 50EUR

Jeeb

Hi guys,

I have a quick doubt.

A few months ago I bought a used pre-built. I'm really happy about it apart from the case, which very stupidly doesn't allow for much airflow. This summer, when the temperatures were higher, I used to pity my CPU and GPU and remove the side panel, with considerable temperature improvements.

Since then I've been looking around for a used case, and now I found this Phanteks p400a for 50 EUR (50 $US), with all accessories and packaging included. I saw from a few reviews that it's quite a good case, but the price is just a bit higher than what I was aiming at. I can find it new on Amazon for 100EUR.

I know that for most it's probably a small matter, but I'm very undecided.

On one part, I bought the PC for 650EUR and spending 50 for the case seems proportionally too much.

On the other side, this could be my "final" case and I won't have to change it for my next upgrade in 2-4 years, maybe even for the following one. Do you think this case could still work in the future, in terms of airflow and dimensions?

What do you think?

Thanks

Getting a p400s in good condition at half price is a very good deal, and it's a good case

Also note that price of cases increased by 20% since one year or so, so you won't have any decent case under $50 anyway, only choked plastic boxes...

What prebuilt is it? Does it use standard atx parts?

50 for a p400a with all the rgb fans, mounting hardware and no damage is a good deal

You are right, I was so immersed in thinking about the deal that I didn't consider that my parts have to fit in there. Mainly because I'm pretty confident that they do (yes the are atx standard) but I'll doublecheck, thank you!
